The name of the Association shall be
THE RI DISTRICT 9320 YOUTH PROGRAMMES ASSOCIATION
LEGAL STATUS
The Association is and shall continue to be a distinct and separate legal entity and body corporate, with the power to acquire and to alienate property of every description whatsoever, with the capacity to acquire rights and obligations and shall have perpetual succession.
Actions may be brought by or against the Association in the name of the association and the committee may authorise any person or persons to act on behalf of the Association and to sign all such documents and take all such steps as may be necessary in connection with proceedings.
OBJECTS
The objects of the Association are:
- To participate in the Rotary International programme for students of secondary school age, known as Youth Exchange, to engage in study or travel abroad for one academic year or less for the purpose of advancing international understanding and goodwill. Sponsored by sending and receiving Rotary Clubs and Districts and where the exchangees are selected according to the guidelines and procedures suggested by the Rotary International Board.
- To foster and encourage Rotary Club-sponsored Clubs for young people dedicated to Service and International Understanding, to be known as Interact Clubs. Membership to be available to students at Secondary School between the ages of 14 and 18.
- To foster and encourage Rotary Club-sponsored clubs for young people dedicated to Service and International Understanding, to be known as Early act Clubs. Membership to be available to students at primary school between the ages of 7 and 13.
- To promote and foster and run Youth Leadership courses.
- To participate in Rotary International and Club sponsored youth programs for the purpose of advancing international understanding and goodwill.
