District 9370's first Governor Elect for 2013-14
Rotary Club of Mt Edgecombe
Greg & Lindsay have been married for 18 years and have 5 children collectively who, in turn, to date, have produced 10 grand children.
They both enjoy the outdoors, camping, scuba diving, cycling, playing the odd game of golf and spending time at their Game Lodge. Until recently Greg enjoyed flying and qualified for his Private Pilot license in 1972.
Lindsay is a qualified Architectural Technician and Greg, although originally trained and studied in the engineering field, has been in the Property Development market for the past 25 years.
Greg, a Paul Harris fellow (2), has been a Rotarian for 17 years, first joining the Durban Umgeni Club where he served on the Board and in various committees as well as President. Whilst at Umgeni he was involved with chartering of the Mt Edgecombe Probus Club as well as the Mt Edgecombe Rotary Club in 2004 of which he became a charter member.
Lindsay joined Rotary in 2004 as a charter member at Mt Edgecombe.
Greg was President of the Mt Edgecombe Club in 2008 and has served on the club’s various committees as well as on the Board. He currently serves on various District committees and has been Group E‘s Assistant Governor for the past three years.
Together they have created many wonderful memories of Rotary over the past 17 years -hosting Exchange students and friendship exchange Rotarians, going on a friendship exchange to Canada & the USA and joining PDG Natty on a Polio immunization mission to India which they claim “was a life changing experience”. Greg was privileged to be on the local bid committee that secured the RI Conference for Durban in 2019.
