Kevin was born in Port Elizabeth and educated at Woodridge College. He obtained a B.Sc. Engineering degree in electronics from the University of Natal.
He is the managing director of his own business, Haslop and Mason Engineering, which markets electrical equipment to the industry.
Kevin joined the Rotary Club of Port Elizabeth West in 2000 and served as President in 2004/2005. He served on the Training Committee in 2009/2010 and was an Assistant Governor from 2007 to 2009. He was the team leader of a GSE team to Scotland (District 1020) in 2009. Kevin is a Sapphire Paul Harris Fellow and a Rotary Benefactor.
Kevin enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures. He has travelled extensively in Africa, where he had the memorable experience of climbing Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, and encountering the gorillas in Rwanda. The highlight of his overseas travel was the International Assembly in San Diego where he experienced the worldwide fellowship and the power of Rotary at a global level.
He is proud to be a Rotarian, and he believes that the skills and tools provided to Rotarians enable them to achieve their goals in both their professional and personal lives. He believes that Rotary International is a service organisation that supports communities while developing individuals. Our communities need Rotary now more than ever before.
